From the PTA | Keeping You Connected
From Our President

With the first half of the school year behind us, I wanted to sincerely thank our PTA members, volunteers, and supporters. The time and energy you give to Minett truly make a difference—and it shows in everything we do.


Because of your support, we were able to invest in meaningful student assembly programs such as the Perfection on Wheels and Nana Pudding.  We were able to host our the Book Fair, Trunk or Treat, Holiday Parties and our Color Fun Run to name a few.  We were also able to support and celebrate our teachers through Teacher Appreciation events.  These moments matter. They come together and strengthen our school community and directly support our students’ experience and ultimately, their success.


I’m incredibly excited about what’s ahead next year. We have strong momentum, great initiatives underway, and an engaged community.   I’m looking forward to continuing to build on this work together.


Thank you for showing up, stepping in, and caring so deeply about our school. I’m honored to serve as your PTA President and to work alongside such an amazing community.

Happy New Year, Minett Families!

We’re excited to kick off 2026 and continue supporting our students, teachers, and school community.

Open PTA Board Positions
We currently have two open positions on the PTA Board:

  • Parliamentarian

  • PR/Communications

No experience necessary. We’re happy to help you get started! If you’re interested in learning more about either role, please reach out to the PTA President at president@minettpta.com. This is a wonderful way to get involved and make a meaningful impact at Minett!


Next PTA Membership Meeting
Save the date: Tuesday, February 4th in the Minett Cafeteria. More details will be shared two weeks prior to the meeting.


Upcoming PTA Events
 The PTA is gearing up for Valentine’s Party and Spring Fundraiser. Keep an eye out for more details and volunteer opportunities!

Programs
Dennis Lee: Nana Puddin's Flashlight Pajama Party!

October 8th 2025

Students and staff enjoyed a fun day in pajamas, learning that kindness and good choices help us shine bright. Just like flashlights, we all come in different sizes, shapes, and colors. 

Programs like this build community and create memorable learning experiences for everyone.

BXM Perfection on Wheels

December 5th 2025

Students had an exciting and educational experience with BMX Perfections on Wheels, learning about bike safety, balance, and responsible riding. 

Beyond skills on two wheels, the program also focuses on character development, teamwork, and making good choices, helping students grow both on and off the bike.

Fall Fundraising

The House Color Run was a huge success! Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our Minett families, we exceeded our fundraising goal of $30,000 and raised $37,540. 

These funds will directly benefit our students and school community. 

Below you’ll find how the initial $30,000 will be spent. PTA members will vote on how to use the remaining funds at our General Membership meeting.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers, families, and sponsors who made this event possible. Your support helps us continue to provide engaging experiences and resources for everyone at Minett!

Our PTA events would not be possible without the incredible support of our volunteers and donors. Thank you to everyone who gave their time, donated items, or helped behind the scenes for Helping Hands, Multicultural Night, Trunk or Treat, the Color Run, 10 Days of Christmas, Winter Parties and so much more. Your generosity and willingness to help truly make a difference for our students and staff.


We love our volunteers and appreciate any amount of time you are able to give. No commitment is too small. Short on time? No worries! Be on the lookout for opportunities to donate items to support upcoming events.
